Explore The Magical Night Market Of Taman Connaught

If you have an hour (or better yet, two hours) to spare on a Wednesday evening, it’s highly recommended to get yourself to Taman Connaught’s weekly night market for a local treat.

A Hodgepodge Of Unique Market Offerings In One Of The Longest Night Markets In Malaysia

Formerly known as the longest night market in Malaysia (a title that has been usurped by Setia Alam’s night market), this two-kilometre stretch has everything you’d expect from a Pasar Malam of this calibre. Come Wednesday evening, more than 700 mobile stalls that call this lane home will begin to stir and be abuzz with life.

Some of the things you may find here include inexpensive goods ranging from homeware to electronic devices and most importantly, good food!

And speaking of food, you don’t have to venture far to enjoy a taste of oriental cuisine (particularly, Taiwanese cuisine) as you will find a wide variety of Chinese street food here including the notoriously pungent chilli-drenched stinky tofu. Other must-try food also include curry noodles, Char Kueh Teow, Laksa, and more!

Taman Connaught Night Market begins as early as 6.00 pm and ends around 1.00 am every Wednesday.

Address: Jalan Cerdas, Taman Connaught, Cheras, 56000 Kuala Lumpur
