State of Israel born – ‘I deplore any attempt to take it away from Israel’-Truman via American Minute
Against all odds, Israel survived.
The Armistice between Israel and her enemies was negotiated by Ralph Bunche, the first African American to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
“I want to tell you how happy and impressed I have been at the remarkable progress made by the new State of Israel.”
“I remember well our conversations about the Negeb…and I deplore any attempt to take it away from Israel.
I had thought that my position would have been clear to all the world, particularly in the light of the specific wording of the Democratic Party platform…
I have interpreted my re-election as a mandate from the American people to carry out the Democratic platform – including, of course, the plank on Israel.”
President John F. Kennedy remarked opening the Ouachita National Forest Road at Big Cedar, Oklahoma, October 29, 1961:
“We take our lesson…from the Bible and the story of Nehemiah, which tells us that when the children of Israel returned from captivity they determined to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, in spite of the threats of the enemy.
The wall was built and the peace was preserved. But it was written, ‘Of them that built on the wall…with one of his hands he did the work, and with the other he held the sword.’”
In 1968, President Lyndon B. Johnson stated:
“America and Israel have a common love of human freedom and a democratic way of life…
Through the centuries, through dispersion and through very grievous trials, your forefathers clung to their Jewish identity and their ties with the land of Israel.
The prophet Isaiah foretold, ‘And He shall set up an ensign for the nations and He shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from all the four corners of the earth’…
History knows no more moving example of persistence against the cruelest odds.”
In April 3, 2002, House Majority Whip Tom DeLay stated in a speech at Westminster College:
“No one can ignore the horrible aggression in the Middle East.
A democratic government is fending off an orchestrated onslaught of death. The State of Israel has been targeted by groups committed to her complete elimination.
And on the basis of our shared principles and democratic values, America has an undeniable obligation to stand squarely with our democratic ally against those attempting to end the State of Israel…
Israel and America are kindred nations. The founders of both countries were profoundly influenced by faith. Both countries drafted governments that practice religious tolerance.”
Tom DeLay continued:
“Both countries are filled with immigrants summoned by dreams. For people fleeing the storms of persecution, both countries have been safe harbors…
No one should expect the people of Israel to negotiate with groups pursuing the fundamental goal of destroying them…”
Congressman Tom DeLay concluded:
“America has a clear duty to stand beside a democratic ally that is besieged by terrorists…The terrorists attempting to destroy the State of Israel should know that America will never allow that to happen.”

We are searching for a reason that a young man walked into a school and killed 26 people, most of whom were children. As these are being buried and mourned, people search for something to cast blame upon and truly there is enough blame to go around, some would say it is guns, others, video games and violence on TV, and yet others blame mental illness and drugs. Truth be told there is something to all these. First guns, the gun didn’t kill the children and teachers, the person holding the gun and pulling the trigger killed them. The young man made a choice, if he truly wanted to kill, he would have found a way. And if there were no guns, perhaps he would have chosen something that would have taken even more lives such as a bomb or fire. When a person makes a choice for evil, evil finds the way. And yes I do believe that evil exists!
Now for those who blame video games and TV, there again, the object is not at fault however it does make people less sensitive to violence and death, sure this had a impact on this young man. We have reports that he was mentally ill, and reports that he was on drugs for this. Perhaps it is time for a serious discussion about the influence of video games and violence in the media, on the mentally ill. Perhaps we need to have a serious discussion about what causes mental illness and how we as a society deal with it. Perhaps we need to allow support for the parents of the mentally ill to be available in the schools, even if this support is of the Christian faith…
We can all find some way to assign blame, why not spend a little time praying for answers and getting together with our churches, after all we can all see how the level of violence has increased in our schools. I would dare say that if someone did a serious study, they would find that the changes made in the last fifty years in our schools, have had a negative effect on our children. I doubt that those in government would be willing to do this, but much as they would like to believe that they have the right to decide what is taught, they only have what we give them. Isn’t it time that we as parents and grandparents took a real look at how our schools are being run and what our children are being taught. Ultimately it does fall to us to care for our children and we are the one that the Lord will ask, “What have you done?”
Our leaders have no hesitation in turning to prayer after a tragedy but the real tragedy is that sometimes things can be prevented if we turn to prayer before it happens. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if our leaders exhibited that same faith and turning to God before the next tragedy to befall our country? We have no promises of a pain and tragedy free life, but we do have promises that God will be our shelter and strong tower. Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Evil does exist, but it isn’t just on one level. We need to open our eyes and see it for what it is. We must take responsibility for our children. We must take our schools back and make sure that the teachers that we hire teach the values that we want our children to learn. God didn’t leave us, we left Him and it is time to go back. As the title says “Evil will fall to the Lord.”
The following is a repost!
Evil exists, no matter how much we would like to deny it or how much we would like to turn away from it. Sometimes it slips up and knocks you down and you have to admit it. That is the case of what just happened in Aurora, Colorado. The motives of the person are truly irrelevant. The end results of their beliefs or failure to believe in anything, has bearing only on the fact that it let evil in the door.
We long for peace and happiness. We long for security and stability. This is the reason that we have governments. But the truth is that no matter how strict the government, evil finds it’s own way. Whether it is the sanctioned abuse of women and children in countries in the Middle East, or the evil of drug use which alters our minds and makes it easier for evil to take root.
Sadly, there is no cure for evil except death. It exists as a part of life and the only way for it to die, is for us to die. I am not talking about a literal death, although in the end, that is necessary as well. But I am talking about the death of the person that we were and the rebirth of the new person that understands what love, faith, and surrendering to God, is!
1 You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God.2 Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.4 Your real life is Christ and when he appears, then you too will appear with him and share his glory!
The Old Life and the New
5 You must put to death, then, the earthly desires at work in you, such as sexual immorality, indecency, lust, evil passions, and greed (for greed is a form of idolatry).6 Because of such things God’s anger will come upon those who do not obey him.[a]7 At one time you yourselves used to live according to such desires, when your life was dominated by them.
8 But now you must get rid of all these things: anger, passion, and hateful feelings. No insults or obscene talk must ever come from your lips.9 Do not lie to one another, for you have put off the old self with its habits10 and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself.11 As a result, there is no longer any distinction between Gentiles and Jews, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarians, savages, slaves, and free, but Christ is all, Christ is in all.
The people killed and hurt in Aurora were victims of evil! Nothing that they did was their fault. Evil exists as a part of the reality that we have here on earth. We can do our best to prevent it, but it is going to find a way to erupt. The only hope that we have is in our creator who has promised us a better future. A future where evil will not be able to cause us the tears and suffering that we have now.
I pray that those who are suffering will find the peace and strength to deal with the problems that they are facing. I pray that they recognize that the evil they have faced if not of any fault of their own! I pray that those who are survivors do not live their lives in fear and that those who have lost loved ones will have the faith they need to live their own lives and not believe that all else is lost.
A Prayer for Safety[a]
Save me from my enemies, my God;
protect me from those who attack me!
2 Save me from those evil people;
rescue me from those murderers!
3 Look! They are waiting to kill me;
cruel people are gathering against me.
It is not because of any sin or wrong I have done,
4 nor because of any fault of mine, O Lord,
that they hurry to their places.
5 Rise, Lord God Almighty, and come to my aid;
see for yourself, God of Israel!
Wake up and punish the heathen;
show no mercy to evil traitors!
6 They come back in the evening,
snarling like dogs as they go about the city.
7 Listen to their insults and threats.
Their tongues are like swords in their mouths,
yet they think that no one hears them.
8 But you laugh at them, Lord;
you mock all the heathen.
9 I have confidence in your strength;
you are my refuge, O God.
10 My God loves me and will come to me;
he will let me see my enemies defeated.
11 Do not kill them, O God, or my people may forget.
Scatter them by your strength and defeat them,
O Lord, our protector.
12 Sin is on their lips; all their words are sinful;
may they be caught in their pride!
Because they curse and lie,
13 destroy them in your anger;
destroy them completely.
Then everyone will know that God rules in Israel,
that his rule extends over all the earth.
14 My enemies come back in the evening,
snarling like dogs as they go about the city,
15 like dogs roaming about for food
and growling if they do not find enough.
16 But I will sing about your strength;
every morning I will sing aloud of your constant love.
You have been a refuge for me,
a shelter in my time of trouble.
17 I will praise you, my defender.
My refuge is God,
the God who loves me.
As President and the Leader of the country, I would hope that any one who would have had that responsibility would have done the same thing. I respect the fact that Mr. Obama did so! However I have found little else to respect in the actions of Mr. Obama.
Healthcare in this country was the best that was available in the world before Mr. Obama and the Democrat‘s took control of this country. It was against the law to turn anyone with a legitimate emergency away and hospital emergency rooms took care of those who needed the help. I realize that the wait was often long and people abused the services, but that is a minor problem if you consider the services available or not available in the rest of the world. If you were not happy with the way your insurance company was doing business, you had a right to go somewhere else, or you could appeal to the state and bring your case before the public. You had the opportunity to change things. If the Healthcare bill is not struck down by the Supreme Court, and the government has control, you will no longer be able to change anything. Every health care issue you face will be decided by appointees of politicians who only owe their loyalty to those who appointed them. A prime example is the forcing of Christians to provide abortion and the morning after pill which triggers an abortion in the woman taking the pill.
This is another example of the way that this administration feels about life. It seems to feel that there is nothing that man should not do in order to do what they think is the right thing. If it is killing thousands of people with drones, becoming involved in more and more wars, refusing aid to countries unless they are willing to sacrifice their morals and provide abortions, or denying those who find the killing of babies to be morally repugnant or against the principle of their faith.
But it is not just this that bothers me, although it is a major factor and the reason that I did not vote for Mr. Obama in the first place. I had voted Democrat most of my life, but hearing Mr. Obama stand before the Illinois house and defend killing babies that were aborted and yet born alive, shocked me to my core. I was naive enough to believe a lot of Democrats who stated that they would like to see less abortion, but here was a man who wanted to see babies born alive, killed!
Another thing that bothers me is the way that Mr. Obama uses drones to kill those whom he thinks are enemies to our country. It bothers me considerably that one man would think that he has the right to be judge, jury, and executioner. It truly would bother me even if there was a panel that made that decision, but not nearly to the extent that having one man make that choice, does. We see examples of one person making the decision that others do not have the right to live all the time. Sometimes they base that decision upon their “religion” or their “race”, or even how much money they have. We don’t applaud these people, we often have names for them such as serial killers, or terrorists. Does being the leader of a country make a difference?
Mr. Obama himself doesn’t seem to think so, he has denounced people like the former leaders of Egypt, Libya, and the current leader of Syria.I I am not saying that Mr. Obama is the same as them, but he seems to be headed in that direction and it doesn’t seem to bother him or his followers. When do you go past the point that killing is justified and begin killing just because you can? Does each time make the next one easier?
We have also seen Mr. Obama turn a blind eye to the killing of the Christians in the Middle East. Not only has he very often failed to even condemn those who are committing the murders, he has, in some cases, embraced those very ones who have done the killing.
You have to judge a leader by their actions and every chance Mr. Obama has had to make a decision that would lead to embracing life, he has chosen death instead. When he has had the chance to show respect for those who do choose life, he has chosen to mock and denigrate their choices. When he has the opportunity to lead by example, he chooses to absent himself from the process and leave it to surrogates that he knows will push death over life, and yet he can pretend that it is not really his choice.
Even in the choices that he has made in the matter of the economy or our independence, he has made choices that lead to a decrease in our material wealth, and to a further dependence on both the government and on the decisions of those who would rather see us cease to exist. We are becoming enslaved and dependent on the good will of other countries under the policies of Mr. Obama.
So, when I hear someone who is promoting the reelection of Mr. Obama say, “Oh, by the way, he kill Bin Laden,” I find it very troubling. It makes me wonder at the intelligence of these people who seem to find it so wonderful. Do they truly believe that this is the major factor in the reelection of a leader? Or do they believe that we are so ignorant that nothing else but this would matter to us? Or does he think that this makes him look strong?
If this is their thinking, they are sorely mistaken. We have a whole book of things to make our decision on the future of Mr. Obama. If the killing of Bin Laden was a single outstanding use, or even a very limited use, of our ability to use drones and keep our men and women safe, that would be a good thing. The excess to which the drones are being used is very troublesome. The fact that Mr. Obama wants to, and has involved us in even more warfare, is another mark against choosing him for a repeat of what he has already done. The negligence in which he has treated the safety and security of our country, the contempt that he has for the beliefs and wishes of the people that he was elected to serve, and the continuing enslavement of the American people by policies that dramatically increase their cost of living are also heavy weights against him.
I would like some of his supporters to point to anything that he has really done that is promoting life in some form or another. Everything that I have seen is promoting death. This to me, is simply unacceptable. I cannot do anything other than stand against such a person.
We are told not to judge others, that it is up to God to judge, and I cannot tell what Mr. Obama believes or what his followers believe. But contrary to what a lot of people who are not followers of Christ, believe, we are not told to act as if the actions of a person have no difference in how we consider them. The very opposite is true, we must consider their actions, because if we do not, by our very silence we are condoning those same actions. We are instructed this way:
“Therefore be followers of God, as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
Therefore do not be partakers with them. Ephesians 5:1-7
So for all those who would try to deceive us with empty words, it is ignorance on your part to think that we will not take into consideration the actions of the man who was elected to lead our country out of the ugliness that we were in. Do not think that we will accept the empty words that you preached in Mr. Obama’s first election. People were so needy then, and wanting the “hope and change” that was promised, that they forgot that there was a man behind the words. Since that time, we have learned what kind of man that Mr. Obama is.
No longer will we be swayed by promises and empty words. The promises were just as empty as the words and the only change we have gotten is for the worse. Please do not treat us as if we were ignorant and gullible.
So for those that are still undecided on whether to vote for Mr. Obama or not in the coming election, let me say this, I will be voting for life and this administration promotes death! I will be voting for change that allows me to practice my faith and doesn’t try to decide what my faith should be. I will be voting for hope and the promise of a country that believes in it’s people and does not think that we should bow down to every other religion and faith in order to gain respect. We gain respect for standing for our principles. The only thing that giving up your principles gets you, is contempt from those that you bow down to.

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power,
And will not acquit the wicked.
The LORD has His way
In the whirlwind and in the storm,
And the clouds are the dust of His feet.
He rebukes the sea and makes it dry,
And dries up all the rivers.
Bashan and Carmel wither,
And the flower of Lebanon wilts.
The mountains quake before Him,
The hills melt,
And the earth heaves at His presence,
Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.
Who can stand before His indignation?
And who can endure the fierceness of
His fury is poured out like fire,
And the rocks are thrown down by
The LORD is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him.
But with an overflowing flood
He will make an utter end of its place,
And darkness will pursue His enemies.
We have only to look at the example of Barack Obama to understand the importance of being pro-life and having a real belief and respect for God our Creator. And yes, I can and do question Barack Obama’s claim to believe in God and to be a Christian. Let me state the reasons why:
1) He is the most pro-abortion President that we have ever had and you simply can not so readily kill what God has created if you really believe in Him and the consequences of your own actions.
2) A belief in a Creator and a follower of Christ do bear a responsibility for their fellow man, you show that in how you value their lives and Barack Obama has now involved us in more conflict that is unnecessary to our security, and stirred up more violence throughout the Middle East since WWII.
3) As individuals we bear the responsibility of taking care of the poor, the disabled, and all those who are in desperate need, as individuals and as Churches. When government steps in to take that responsibility, they are taking the individual’s responsibility away. Jesus did not take this away from us, therefore, it is not our right to give to the government this responsibility. But with them taking our resources, it dramatically lowers our ability to do what we are called upon as individuals, therefore any government that requires this limits us as Christians, and Barack Obama has gone on record that it is his belief that this is a collective responsibility and therefore the governments place and not the individual.
4) Barack Obama is very adept at telling people what they want to hear if he agrees with them, even if what he is saying is so far from the truth that most people could not do this with a straight face. In God’s eyes this is called lying and it is very much against His teaching’s.
I could continue but I think that I have made the point on why I do not believe that Barack Obama believes in God. We have been warned that leaders would appear that try to teach us falsely, perhaps Obama is one of those that the Bible foretold. I will leave it to the scholar’s to make that claim. I will only state what anyone who bothers’ to read their Bible and truly believes in God can see. We are instructed to not make judgements, so I do not judge the man, but we are also told to look to their actions and point out when they are not what the Bible teaches. Perhaps no one has ever pointed this out to Mr. Obama. Perhaps he truly wants to follow God, but has not learned the right way. It is never too late and it is past time that someone showed him the way. If he really wants to be a follower of Christ, he will find God is willing to accept him as He is willing to accept all sinners.
The very actions that Barack Obama have taken and where he is leading us, are the greatest example that there is on why we need a leader that both believes in God, and follows the way of Christ, and is strongly pro-life. It can not be someone whose faith is on the back burner, it must be someone that is willing to put everything on the line in order to bring this country back from the brink of destruction, and to put the rest of the world on notice that evil and degradation will no longer have a place to nest in this country.
It is one thing to defend your country when it is attacked, it is another to willfully send men and women into danger and certain death, for nothing more than the possibility that the next leader that falls will usher in a democracy. Democracy is highly over rated if it leads to it’s people being forced to abandon their principles and faith, in order to serve at the behest of a minority, that has nothing more in mind that destroying another country that doesn’t pray to the same God that they do. And if we are willing to hand that ability to a President, we need to make sure that they value the lives of those that they are sending into battle.
Someone who truly believes in God the Creator, knows how precious life is. They know how valuable that they are to God. That He made the ultimate sacrifice in sending His Son to die for the world. Not just those who have been saved, but also those who will be saved. To a person who does not believe in God, life is a random accident of cells coming together to form intelligence. And with a belief that we are accidental, there is no appreciation for the complex structure that the Creation is.
Our people are our treasure, and if you don’t believe that they are valuable, you do not have the ability to value them. But how we spend our treasure is important too. It must be spent in ways that raise us all up, it can not be used simply to bring those that we disagree with down. And we must make the effort to educate and instill in our young that they are worthy, this can not be done by someone who does not believe that they are worthy.
A leader can not be someone who controls and pushes people into the position that he wants them to fill, as if they were simply pieces on a puzzle board that paints a picture that is pleasing to the one putting it together. A leader is one who inspires and shows the way, only someone who knows their own worth and the worth of those around them can truly inspire people to greatness and in doing so become great themselves.
We have only to look at the example of Egypt, Libya, and other places in the Middle East to see the results of having leaders that do not believe in God, or value human life. Suicide bombers who value no ones life, not even their own are a perfect example of the results of placing little of no value on life. After all, it is very easy to get rid of things that you believe are worthless.
The coming election is the rubicon, if you will, of our very future. It is the decision point on where we are going. It is the point of no turning back. If we do not choose someone who is willing to stand for what our founders intended us to be, we will fall along the road of destruction, and our history will be altered and changed to reflect a malicious desire to define us as a country of users and abusers, instead of a country of majestic builders with a wonderful vision.
I pray that we treat this winnowing process that we are going through with the gravity that it deserves, and not rush to judgement. We have time to make our decisions, and once they are made, there will not be any chance to do it over. Yes, we need someone that can beat Barack Obama, but that someone will be the one that is strongest in what we truly want in a leader. It will not be someone that we just settle for because someone else who has decided that they know best, tells us what we need. We have made the mistake in the past in listening to those who have an agenda, and want to make sure that everyone else is brought down, in order that their man can be raised up. If we are to not regret our past, we must make sure that the choice that we make is not one that we will forever regret!

This past week has been one that I have really felt the need to get my Bible in front of me with pen and paper and really study the word of the Lord. I am feeling an urgency that I have never felt before and a need to make sure that my understanding is sure.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Matthew 24:6 “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
This is an almost daily news story, wars and rumors of wars, and yet Jesus tell us that we should not be troubled, for all these things must come.
Matthew 24:7 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.
Matthew 24::8 “All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
We can’t know that these are the actually beginnings of sorrows that Jesus tells us of in the Bible, because we don’t know the exact time of His return, but you would have to be totally in ignorance of the word of God, not to realize that the signs are fitting the prophecy.
What will come next? The scriptures tell us that,
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations for My name’s sake” Matthew 24:9
This is happening in the Middle East, Christians are being killed on a daily basis, they are being hunted, burned, tortured and driven from their homes. Nations that were accepting and tolerant of Christians are no longer tolerant. The hatred is expanding across the world. How long before it involves the whole world?
Psalm 90 “Teach us to Number Our Days”
A Prayer of Moses the man of God
Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
You turn man to destruction, An say, ” Return, O children of men.” For a thousand years in Your sight, Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. You carry them away like a flood; They are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: In the morning it flourishes and grows up; In the evening it is cut down and withers.
For we have been consumed by Your anger, And by Your wrath we are terrified. You have set our iniquities before You, Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years. Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants. Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days! Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, And the years in which we have seen evil. Let Your work appear to Your servants, And Your glory to their children. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes establish the work of our hands.
Is this what our future holds? Are we giving up Afghanistan and Iraq to the Taliban and the Muslim Brotherhood and beginning to stir the pot even further in Iran? Where will we be by the time the elections get here? Will Mr. Obama have involved us in further violence and stirred up hatred against Christianity even further. We are seeing Christians erased from the Middle East and the UN and the US are simply refusing them refugee status. What is Mr. Obama’s intentions? Where do those who are attempting to garner the GOP nomination stand on these issues. The time for choosing is rapidly approaching and now more than ever, we need to know where we are headed! Read the story from DEBKAfile and make your own evaluations.
US sanctions on Iran’s central bank. Tehran has called this an act of war
DEBKAfile Special Report January 1, 2012, 1:01 AM (GMT+02:00)
On the last day of 2011, US President Barack Obama Saturday signed into law measures penalizing foreign financial institutions doing business with Iran’s central bank, Bank Markazi – the toughest sanctions imposed yet over Iran’s development of a nuclear weapon. In recent weeks Tehran has repeatedly warned that it would deem the signing of this measure an act of war and respond with drastic steps including the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The bill targeting anyone dealing with Iran’s central bank seeks to force other countries to choose between buying oil from Iran or being shut out of transactions with US financial institutions and banks. The new sanctions will begin taking effect in 60 days – the toughest not for at least six months, giving Tehran some space to cooperate with international demands to call off its nuclear weapon program. The president will have some flexibility in applying the measure.
DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources report signs that rather than using this leeway to back down, Tehran appears bent on heading for a collision with the United States and its opponents in the Persian Gulf and Middle East.
Just this Saturday, Dec. 31, Gen. Masoud Jazayeri, one of the Revolutionary Guards heads, wrote on the Guards’ site: “Discourse about closing the Strait of Hormuz belongs to five years ago. Today’s debate in the Islamic Republic of Iran contains new layers and the time has not come to disclose them.” Read the rest at DEBKAfile

There are several good stories out today asking the question that Gov. Chris Christie asked of Mr. Obama, including the one that I have linked to below, I would like to point out some of the things that we are not paying him to do, and yet, like the thief in the night, he is doing it with our money.
- We are not paying him to campaign 27/7
- We are not paying him to go around the world apologizing for our actions
- We are not paying him to get us involved in even more wars
- We are not paying him to tell us what to eat and how that our food needs fixed
- We are not paying him to teach our kids to cheat, steal, bully and altogether forget what we are trying to instill in them
- We are not paying him to party
- We are not paying him to give away our treasure
- We are not paying him to tell us how we can farm the land, and what we can grow on it
- We are not paying him to mock and attempt to destroy American citizens
- We are not paying him to sue every state that is doing something that he doesn’t like
- We are not paying him to open our borders and let anyone who wants in come in
- We are not paying him to decide that the laws enacted by the Congress don’t really mean anything and therefore he can do what ever he wants.
These are just a portion of the things that we are not paying him to do, and yet he is doing every one. There has to be a limit sometime and somewhere that we can put a stop to him doing things on our dime that we do not want. In less that a year now, we will decide if he is going to be replaced, and someone new installed in the office that he has done nothing but abuse since his election. We must look at how he has gotten away with so much, and restore the Presidency to the position that was intended in our Constitution. This also means that Congress must regain the role that it was given, instead of letting the Presidency become almost a regency.
The Constitution of this Country was established with the ability to correct wrongs. However there has to be the will of the people in order to do so. There must be pressure put on Congress in this next election to ensure that they understand that we are not willing to allow this to happen again. And whomever we elect a President from now on, must realize that they are there at the will of the people and that they will be allowed there only so long as they respect that and are willing to serve!
Please take the time to read the excellent article from Big Government…..
It’s simply hard to imagine this passes for a Presidency. At what point does he become simply too much for the senses? Sure we have had some interesting and bad Presidents before – recently in fact. Nixon changed our view of the Presidency for the worse. Carter was beyond ineffectual. Bush 41 broke a huge promise. Clinton wagged his finger while lying – and a bit more than that. But this President is truly something and it’s not just the facts that are bad – it’s his excuses and manners that make this Presidency so incredibly bad.
Let us count the ways:
A. The Economics.
This list is well known by now – but that doesn’t mean it is highlighted by the Media as it would be of a Republican was president.
- Unemployment at 9% for a historically long time. According to Obama he inherited this mess and blames President Bush and ATMs. Yes Obama believes automation, like ATMs, is to blame – as if such automations like automobiles (accounting for nearly 20% of our economy) and computers (creating employers like EBAY and Microsoft) are the cause of our unemployment. Beyond that, Obama joked that he was wrong about “shovel ready” projects, created the “Saved” jobs category out of thin air, and claimed that the stimulus bill would prevent unemployment from going above 8%. What’s missing, of course, is a plan to lower unemployment – let alone actually lower unemployment.
- Gas Prices. They are currently 85% higher than when he took office. He shut down our Gulf oil production for ideological not actual reasons and delayed a Canadian pipeline for political reasons. When Bush 43 saw high gas prices, the Media told him to go his friends in the Middle East to ask them to raise production. Since Obama wanted $5 gasoline all along, he has no plan to lower energy prices and the Media doesn’t harp on the issue. Meanwhile the economy is hurt badly because of the higher costs of energy that reduce purchasing power and hurt employers everywhere.
- Foreclosure/Home Mortgage Crisis. This is the one part of the economy that actually is in a crisis that is “the worst since the Great Depression” – a phrase Obama is fond of overusing. Obama has continued the policy of bailing out the Banks for foreclosure related losses, encouraged Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac bailouts instead of reforming them and now he has sued the very Banks he bailed out because of their foreclosure practices – and no, there is no plan in sight let alone true relief.
- The Deficit. It has quadrupled under Obama. Yet he says inherited it – and rather than change it, spending has actually gone up each of this 3 years. Obama’s solution: have other people come up with a plan – he was traveling or on vacation. When it failed, he said he knew it would fail. So Chris Christie rightfully asks: What are we paying Obama for? Read the rest at Big Government http://biggovernment.com/tdelbeccaro/2011/11/29/what-are-we-paying-obama-for-and-can-it-get-worse/
You might have read much media chatter about a possible air strike being planned by the Israelis on Iranian nuclear facilities in an effort to stop them from finishing their design for a nuclear weapon. Some people have speculated and queried about whether the United States would be informed of any Israeli action prior to it occurring.
However, there are more tentacles to this story than the mainstream news media is putting forth. Today (Monday) Russia and China are meeting privately to discuss their strategic alliance and geographic interest in Pakistan and Iran. In addition last week there was an event that scarcely made the news, but future historians might mark as an inflection point of change for the United States in the Middle East and Euro-Asia.
In Kyrgyzstan, a landlocked mountainous former Soviet state they held elections and elected a new president, Almazbek Atambayev. One of the first announcements he made was that he would shut down the United States Manas Air Base once the lease expires in 2014. It’s our only major military base in Central Asia, and it’s been a crucial conduit of arms and supplies to the war in Afghanistan. Manas is our only U.S. military outpost in the volatile region after we were evicted in 2005 from a base in authoritarian Uzbekistan over Washington’s criticism of a brutal crackdown on protesters by Uzbek forces. Barack Obama and his supporters have gone to tremendous extremes to hide information that they do not wish made public, including spending millions of dollars in lawyers fees in order to prevent documents from his college transcripts, to evidence of his mother’s travels, from becoming public knowledge. As pointed out in an interesting article in American Thinker this morning, what little we know comes mostly from Barack Obama himself and what he has written in his books, with little or no solid evidence to back up any of it. From most people this would be a waving red flag, telling them to stop and wait, because there must be more to see. But with Barack Obama we have been told over and over again that it doesn’t matter.
The reasons that this doesn’t matter vary depending on who you talk to. We have heard that “it doesn’t matter because the Democrat Party checked him out before he was even nominated!” But we find that not only was this not true, but that different explanations were given to different states in order to get him on the ballot. Other reasons give for not needing to see important facts were that he had already written two biographies and that all the information was in there. Never mind that we know that some people have falsified the data in their biographies, we are to accept Barack Obama’s as fact, even though our lives depend on the answers. Then there is the extremely silly excuse that he is the “Smartest Man in the Room.” Not only is it flat out stupid to put that excuse out there, it is ridiculous on it’s face.
We have since 2008, learned that the information given to the different states in order to get Obama on the ticket was never verified and no one can even establish that it is true. As far as one of his biographies is concerned, it seems that there are even questions as to whether Mr. Obama is even the author. And then as for him being the “Smartest Man in the Room”, if this is true, we are in big trouble because all his “so-called” smartness has gotten us is “older and deeper in debt!”
Perhaps the media should review some real example of genius and ask themselves if this is truly the example that they would have us believe that Barack Obama is? I mean Hannibal Lecter was a genius as well, and can you imagine him as President of the United States. It isn’t genius that we need as a leader, it is leadership and the ability to learn from mistakes. Obama has proven in the last few years that he lacks the ability to lead as well as the ability to learn from his mistakes. In point of fact, he is unable to even acknowledge that he has made any mistakes. And as far as leadership? Does anyone truly believe that a leader “leads from behind” as Mr. Obama’s own spokesman proclaimed?
Leadership requires an ability to gather people to your point of view, not just bully them until they agree with you. Leadership requires an ability to change problems into solutions and not just create more problems as we have seen with the policies that Mr. Obama has applied with regards to Africa and the Middle East. Leadership inspires people to want to follow your ideas, it doesn’t divide people depending on their race and economic status. But two of the most telling aspects of leadership that Barack Obama has shown that he is lacking of are Empathy and Responsibility. Mr. Obama has quite often shown us just the opposite of both of those qualities. His mockery of his opposition is well established and his acceptance of responsibility is nil. These are the things that we now know about Barack Obama, these are some of the very things that were probably apparent to those that knew him prior to his running for office but that were hidden by a compliant media that seemed in love, Chris Matthews for instance, with the idea and who assumed that Barack Obama was the ideal that they were searching for.
The damage done to this country lies at the feet of a lot of so-called journalists that wanted that ideal so badly that they were willing to compromise what principles that they had in order to give him a chance. And now that parts of that hidden man are being revealed, they, for the most part, are just as unwilling to accept the responsibility for the mistakes that they made, as he is for his.
But there is still an enormous amount of information that is out there and that we need to know. It is vital to our future as well as our history. But to this day it is being hidden and measures are being put in place to prevent us from ever learning the truth. All we have to do is look at the idea that is being put forth on FOIA. The desire to deny that documents even exist should be beyond the pale for anyone, but we have media that is not even mentioning it, or when they do, they gloss over it, as if it were really no big deal.
But the Hidden Man that is Barack Obama is much deeper that what we have already learned. The article in American Thinker brings to our attention many more questions that need answers. One of the biggest questions is Barack Obama’s ability obtain everything that he wanted. A snippet that really peaked my interest and that made me think this morning was this:
“Another story no one has seen fit to ask about: Obama’s Most Excellent Pakistani Adventure.
In the summer of 1981, 20-year-old Barack Obama embarked on a two-week trip to Pakistan. At least what little reporting that has been done claimed the length of the trip was two weeks. The only proof that the trip didn’t turn into a longer stay is that we (supposedly) have records which show that Barack Obama enrolled at Columbia University later that same summer. Of course, the public hasn’t seen those records, but that’s what we’ve been told. Anyone in doubt will be directed to Obama’s autobiography, Dreams from My Father.
Obama clearly gave the impression in DFMF that he was this penniless, somewhat confused young man, in search of an identity. Obama makes sure readers don’t miss the point by writing that he was forced to wear “thrift store clothing” during this time. Yet he somehow managed to find the cash to finance a two-week trip to Pakistan.
Which he never wrote about. Which in itself is odd: here’s a guy who wrote two autobiographies that explored events real, imagined, and totally fictional that supposedly forged the modern-day Barack Obama from humble beginnings. That’s according to the Obama NarrativeTM – which gets most of its facts from Dreams from My Father.
Not only did a poor, nearly destitute Obama manage to afford the trip to Pakistan, but once there he somehow financed two weeks in the Lahore Hilton International. In addition, Obama was introduced to the future prime minister and president of Pakistan — and went bird-hunting with him. Which the prime minister mentioned in the Pakistani press in 2008. There’s so much more, including one question the CMM never asked Obama: who arranged all of this? For a 20-year-old nobody.“

Everytime we turn around we have more and more evidence that the Obama administration is choosing to side with muslims over Christians. It is almost a given that this administration has give approval, if not verbally but by their actions, for the killing off of Christians throughout the Middle East! This is being done with our tax money and without our permission my friends. We have seen the churches burned and Christians killed in Egypt and all the other African and Middle Eastern states where we are sending troops and money. Our soldiers are instructed to follow muslim ways even if they are Christian. They are told not to show any visible support for Christ or in many cases Bibles are burned. What gives Mr. Obama and his administration the right to do this in our name? Have we given him the authority? Why are our Congressional leaders not speaking out against the violence against Christians in these countries? They are quick to jump to the defense of any perceived threat against muslims in this country. Have we become, without our consent and knowledge, a country that supports the tenets of Islam? Wake up my friends, it is not just for physical freedom that is at risk here, but also your spiritual freedom. Read the story linked below and find your voice before you lose it forever!

If you’ve been watching the news and following any of the ‘Arab Spring’ stories coming out of the Middle East, you may have seen your tax dollars at work as armored personnel carriers mowed down protesters in Egypt.
These protesters were conducting a peaceful protest asking for their right to protection from persecution. They were not abdicating the overthrow of the government or anything to do with violence of any kind. All they were asking for was to be treated equally the same as other Egyptians. In the midst of this peaceful protest, the Egyptian government sent in the police to stop the protest by whatever means possible.
What you may not be aware of is that the protesters killed were Coptic Christians and that US funds have been helped to pay for the armored vehicles and the police driving them. Reports surfaced that there were some yelling that they would kill any Christians they can get their hands on. Just last week the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram reported that 36 Coptic Christians had been killed so far.
The US endorsed the ouster of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and has since been supportive of the military regime running the country. Part of that military regime is made up with members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is known to be a more militant and radical group with a history of using terrorism and threats of terrorism to advance their agenda.
At this time, the Obama administration continues to pump millions of dollars into Egypt’s military regime, the same military regime that intentionally killed the peacefully protesting Christians. Trying to buy Egyptian friendship, even though the new regime has terrorist ties, is more important to the White House than to defend the Christian and human rights of fellow believers in Jesus Christ.
As a Christian, I am appalled that our tax dollars are going to support the Muslim persecution and murder of fellow Christians. Obviously, the Christian faith that President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton, mean little to nothing to them. They would rather support Muslim terrorists than preserve the peaceful lives of real Christians.

The “arc of instability” includes 97 countries. A startling number of these nations are in turmoil, and in every single one of them, Washington is militarily involved.
It’s a story that should take your breath away: the destabilization of what, in the Bush years, used to be called “the arc of instability.” It involves at least 97 countries, across the bulk of the global south, much of it coinciding with the oil heartlands of the planet. A startling number of these nations are now in turmoil, and in every single one of them — from Afghanistan and Algeria to Yemen and Zambia — Washington is militarily involved, overtly or covertly, in outright war or what passes for peace.
Garrisoning the planet is just part of it. The Pentagon and U.S. intelligence services are also running covert special forces and spy operations, launching drone attacks, building bases and secret prisons, training, arming, and funding local security forces, and engaging in a host of other militarized activities right up to full-scale war. But while you consider this, keep one fact in mind: the odds are that there is no longer a single nation in the arc of instability in which the United States is in no way militarily involved.
Covenant of the Arc
“Freedom is on the march in the broader Middle East,” the president said in his speech. “The hope of liberty now reaches from Kabul to Baghdad to Beirut and beyond. Slowly but surely, we’re helping to transform the broader Middle East from an arc of instability into an arc of freedom.”
An arc of freedom. You could be forgiven if you thought that this was an excerpt from President Barack Obama’s Arab Spring speech, where he said “[I]t will be the policy of the United States to… support transitions to democracy.” Those were, however, the words of his predecessor George W. Bush. The giveaway is that phrase “arc of instability,” a core rhetorical concept of the former president’s global vision and that of his neoconservative supporters.
The dream of the Bush years was to militarily dominate that arc, which largely coincided with the area from North Africa to the Chinese border, also known as the Greater Middle East, but sometimes was said to stretch from Latin America to Southeast Asia. While the phrase has been dropped in the Obama years, when it comes to projecting military power President Obama is in the process of trumping his predecessor. Read the rest….

After last week’s theatrics in New York City, Israeli
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu correctly called
the United Nations the “theater of the absurd.” Mahmoud
Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority (PA),
pressed the UN to recognize Palestine as a nation
state. This is the same Abbas who wrote his doctoral
dissertation denying the Holocaust! Prime Minister
Netanyahu was right in his description of the UN.
While this international farce was unfolding in the
United States, I was in Israel heading a special
delegation to convey the blessings of peace and
friendship to Israel. I met with Israeli government,
academic, and military officials. I am launching several
new initiatives with Israel that I will later share
with you because you will likely want to be a part of
these special opportunities.
I just got back home yesterday. Today, I’ve recorded
an exclusive audio message for Liberty Counsel partners
that I believe will greatly bless you! Please read my
urgent message below then take a moment to listen to
this special recording – Mat.
Friday, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas
went on the offensive against Israel and presented his letter
requesting Palestinian statehood to the United Nations,
ignoring the counsel of many world leaders.
The Abbas letter can only be considered to be a direct
attack against the nation of Israel!
The PA’s request for statehood involves redrawing
borders including the Gaza strip, Judea and Samaria
(the so-called West Bank), and the Golan Heights.
But the fact is that the PA does not control the West
Bank or the Golan Heights, where hundreds of thousands
of Israelis live and where Israel provides security!
How can the UN entertain a request for statehood on
land not controlled by the entity making the application?
That’s like Canada petitioning the UN to redraw our
northern border so they can have sovereignty over North
Even worse, President Abbas and the PA sanction terrorism
against Jews and refuse to recognize the right of Israel
to exist! And like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President
of Iran, Abbas denies the Holocaust of the Jews ever
++A circus of anti-Semitic, anti-American rhetoric.
Last week, the UN also allowed Iran’s Ahmadinejad to spew his
hatred of Israel and, indeed, all Jews, and to make another
installment in his ongoing diatribe against the United States.
The intensity of his insulting attacks led to about a third
of the delegations in the General Assembly walking out on
This unacceptable scenario at the UN is why we decided to hand
deliver a no-holds-barred “Open Letter” opposing Palestinian
statehood (and supporting Israel!) to Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton,
and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice.
These letters contained the names of over 24,000 Liberty
Counsel team members and were delivered in New York
and Washington before the Abbas presentation.
Several weeks earlier, we had notified Prime Minister
Netanyahu and Obama administration officials that over
80,000 Liberty Counsel supporters signed our powerful
“Stand with Israel” statement.
Together, we made a huge impact! The “postponement” of the
UN vote, taken in context with the Obama administration
retreating from their previous calls for the UN to endorse
Palestinian statehood, is unmistakable evidence that the
President now realizes Americans DO favor strong ties to
And while our delegation was in Israel last week, we
regularly and specifically offered prayer for the
vote at the UN to be derailed! Praise God for His
++God WILL bless those who stand with Israel!
Today, the Palestinian bid for statehood goes before the
United Nations Security Council where the debate will begin.
The Obama administration’s policy right now is to veto the
request, but I’m sure you know that political expediency
could change this commitment since it is tentative at best.
I cannot overstate what a critical time this is for
Israel, the Middle East, and the entire world!
Last week, while the world watched the theatrics at the
United Nations, Liberty Counsel was building relationships
and praying for and with key Israelis. The solidarity that
developed between our Christian group and the Israelis
during times of prayer was truly amazing!
Anita and I, along with the entire delegation, know beyond
all doubt that we were there at exactly the right time to
demonstrate our love and support for the nation of Israel!
In an hour when the entire world was abandoning Israel,
you and I, as members of the Body of Christ, were called
to stand with her. I can assure you, we will have many
more wonderful opportunities to bless the Israeli
people in coming months.
I’ve recorded a special audio message that I have been
looking forward to sharing with you. I am truly in awe of
what we saw God do through us and around us in Israel. We
all came home with the feeling that each time we travel to
the Holy Land, it seems to get more rewarding and productive.
Click here to hear my special recording:
Patricia, this special delegation is the first of many
more outreaches to come – as, together, we answer God’s
call to bless His people! Liberty Counsel stands by Israel.
For us, there can be no compromise.
The delivery of our Open Letter opposing Palestinian
statehood last week was our first use of this strategic
tool. We will schedule another delivery, with many
thousands more names, following the outcome of the
meetings in the UN Security Council, and before the
vote in the UN General Assembly.
Your name should be on the next Open Letter delivery!
I strongly encourage you to stand with tens of thousands
of your fellow Liberty Counsel supporters and to receive
the blessing the Lord promises to all who bless Israel, by
simply adding your name to the second Open Letter delivery!
Click here to read and sign the letter – and to hear my
special audio update, which I am excited to share with you:
Even if you have signed one of our earlier Israel support
petitions or letters, it is critical that we continue to
gather many tens of thousands of names as a strong showing
of solidarity by Americans who support our friend and ally,
Israel, during their time of peril! Please click here to
join this historic effort:
As I have said to the media and to our many Liberty Counsel
supporters, the Obama administration’s turnabout regarding
Palestinian statehood was an incredible answer to prayer.
And God used a special election in New York to impact the
President’s political calculus on what it will “cost” to
favor the PA over Israel’s interests.
In the recent special election to replace the disgraced
Representative Anthony Weiner, who resigned in the midst of
a widely reported scandal, Jewish voters helped elect a
conservative Republican to Congress in a district that had
been overwhelmingly Democratic since the 1920′s.
God’s timing is perfect! He will never abandon His people
and neither should we!
As Barack Obama has learned, Americans DO stand with Israel.
Please lend your name to build solidarity between American
Christians and the nation of Israel as we tell the United
Nations to oppose Palestinian statehood!
Also, PLEASE forward this message to as many of your fellow
pro-Israel friends as possible. There are very few campaigns
that will ever be as important to Israel’s future (and to the
United States’ future, as well) as this one!
God bless you. God bless Israel. And God bless America!
Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman
P.S. Please take a moment to hear my special audio update,
then read and sign our powerful Open Letter. The next
delivery may happen at any time!
