This post from Rebecca Hamilton is a must read. You have to ask yourself, where does it stop? Already the courts have decided that women are exempt from the same laws that men are punished for. As if they somehow are endowed with more intelligence and caring so that what ever decision they would make would be for the good of the child that she carries in her womb. Evidence has shown that this is simply not true and the callous killing of their babies that horrifies so many of us, if now being extended in so many places. Who, in this new world, will be granted the ability to decide who is worthy of life and who is unworthy?

In case you were wondering, the devil is at work all over the world, not just here in America.
One case in point is a suggested revision to Dutch statutes that I mentioned in an earlier post to allow medical personnel to euthanize minors and Alzheimer’s sufferers. Ironically, these are two groups of people who are considered incompetent to make most legal decisions for themselves. The proposed law was drafted in part by Senator Philippe Mahoux.
Our world is so spiritually sick that we try to parse and channel legalized murder. We have laws that point to one group of people and say in effect, “you may kill them with impunity” then, we have other laws that point to another group of people and say “if you kill them it is an atrocity.”

I will give fair warning that some people might find this post offensive and it is not my intent to offend. What my intent is is to bring to the forefront a problem that is only spoken about with people you trust to a certain degree and a problem that is covered up and plastered over in political correctness to another degree.
Let me start by saying that I am awaiting God‘s Kingdom where we can all live together and that immigration itself is a great thing. What I do have a problem with is the open border mentality that seems to say, let anyone come across no matter their purpose. Not everyone who enters this country wants either the best for themselves, or the best for the people of this country. As parents we have a responsibility for our children to protect them from harm. From drugs, from those who would molest or rape them, and from those who would use them in many other ways for evil. Turning a blind eye to the evil that comes across the border simply enables even more of it to come across.
There are those who say, yes, but it isn’t Christian to block people from entering the best country in the world! And I agree! However, God Himself tells us that we should obey the law does He not? Those that come here illegally are not following God’s will, does that make their actions right? There is a process to obtain entrance to the country, but like other laws, there are some who think that it doesn’t apply to them. They want what they want and they will take it regardless of the cost to others or the rights that they infringe upon.
Another question to ask is are we truly aiding those who want to come here for a better life. If by our actions we are allowing them to be abused and used by others for an evil purpose, in my mind this tells me we are doing the work of evil and not good. The use of drugs and the use of innocents to carry and distribute those drugs has increased and will continue to increase if we simply turn a blind eye to it. Spreading out from that is murder, rape, robbery, and all other immoral actions. We see increased costs to everyone, not in money, although that is a factor, but in lives lost and heartache as well.
Laws are established by a government in order to protect the borders and people within that country. We as citizens have a responsibility to follow the laws or work with in the system to change them. We as Christians owe first to God! This is not a question of God over government, this is a question of respect for God’s will over people’s desire. People desiring to do harm to others do not have the right, nor do we owe them the opportunity, to break the laws of the country that we live in, in order to fulfill their desires. If we do this, we are saying that lawlessness should prevail!

No Rest for the Dead or the Eldery
My friend Grumpy Elder has a story on a Vet that is being forced from his home. Now this is bad enough but to add insult to injury, the man is being forced to exhume his wife who is buried on the property and move her as well. I realize that sometimes bad things happen, but this is a case where there are other options available if the people involve were willing to work with the man. Abortion is Not Just a Medical Procedure
This is in response to a commenter on The Tree of Mamre who said
“In the secular world the abortion is considered a medical procedure and should not be invaded by the church house as it belongs only in the state house.”
This person was making the comment on the post of Santorum not running for pastor in chief. He also made the statement that Jesus didn’t try to change the laws, as if they made the laws okay, the following is my response.
“No, He didn’t go to the Roman Senate to get laws changed, that was not the reason that He came to earth, He came to die for our sins that we might be forgiven by God for them.
By your reasoning, if the secular world says that it is okay for your neighbor to come and chop off your head and take your possessions, that is fine. Personally, I think that leads to anarchy. Our country is based on the laws of Moses, if you don’t believe it, do the research yourself, it is pretty easy to find the ten commandments online. As far as abortion, even the medical profession should be constrained by moral laws, if they are not, what is to stop them from cloning individuals and farming out their body parts. By your reasoning, these would just be simple medical procedures. What, in your mind, is the difference from a baby and a fetus? Medically, the only difference is that one is in the womb and the other not, what then of abortionist who deliver live babies during the abortion process? Should they be allowed to kill them as Mr. Obama has advocated for? They are medically considered babies! Or how about abortionist that do kill those live babies by clipping their spinal cords or sticking scissors in the backs of their necks? When is the murder of babies a crime? If it is just in the womb, why? Dead is dead, whether it is in the womb or out. It amazes me that the same people that throw hissy fits at people killing animals for food, think that the killing of a baby is okay. Do you know the reason? It is because if they can kill a baby, they can evade the responsibility for that baby, if they can prevent someone else from killing an animal, they have power. Jesus didn’t come to end the laws, He came to fulfill them, until He comes back at judgement, we will be responsible for our actions, murder of the defenseless is a terrible thing that those who do it will have to answer for. Giving government that right, takes the responsibility away from the person and that is not a good thing for society or humanity.”
I want to re-emphasize what I started with, “Abortion is not just a medical procedure.” It is in point of fact, a willful and deliberate ending of a life. This is simple truth and undeniable. No matter whether you agree that it is human or not, it is life. For all those who believe that the taking of life bears responsibility, those that choose this are responsible for their actions.

When Did The Constitution End

When did it just become another meaningless piece of paper that binds neither the Congress nor the President? When did the States give up their rights? How do the people of the United States hold their Representatives accountable?
We seem to have entered a time period when the very people that we elect to office to fulfill the responsibility laid out in our founding document, have decided that that document that the founders of this country fought and died for, no longer apply to them. How do we hold them accountable when they refuse to obey the law and when they refuse to hold the President accountable when he refused to obey the law? Is the law meaningless now? If so, why are “We the people” bound by the law? Below is a response I gave on another post from yesterday “Soft Secession“, if you haven’t read it, it was reblogged from Western Hero and is well worth taking the time to read. He has a lot of excellent point and possible solutions.
“Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security”
I don’t know about you my friend but these words have just as much meaning to me today, as they did to the founders when they signed the “Declaration of Independence.”
Do you believe that the President is fulfilling Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution which states “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.”
Or do the States not have the rights outlined in Section V which states “on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress;”
When did the Presidents responsibility end and how do you make a lawless President obey the laws? Especially when the Congress itself refuses to do their job? Why are the people bound by a lawless Congress that keeps putting more and more taxation and burden upon them? At what point does the Constitution itself become nothing more than a piece of paper? When that happens, who is bound to it? Only the people? When does a republic cease to exist? Where have the States given up the rights that they kept for themselves? Why should those in power not be held accountable to the very documents that established this country?

An Arizona law that has already cut abortions 30 percent and led to the shut down of Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in the state has survived a legal challenge from the abortion business and a lawsuit it filed.
Planned Parenthood has decided to end its legal attack on Arizona’s Abortion Consent Act, according to a court order issued Monday. Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund together with the Center for Arizona Policy, the Bioethics Defense Fund, and the Life Legal Defense Foundation defended the law. In August, the Arizona Court of Appeals lifted an injunction against the law and determined that it was constitutional.
“A woman’s right to make a fully informed choice is more important than Planned Parenthood’s desire to profit from abortions,” said ADF Senior Counsel Steven H. Aden, who argued before the Court of Appeals on June 14. “Without this legal roadblock, women will now be better protected–and so will pro-life medical professionals whom the law protects from being coerced into participating in abortions.”

Why not have a “Legal Workforce” in America? (via Grumpy Opinions)
Contrary to what the open borders and special interest organization say, Mandatory E-Verify is an incredibly urgent deterrent for the American job marketplace, in opposition to the illegal immigration invaders. This federal enforcement program will detect illegal aliens in the workplace, will be very potent verification process of those who being hired and lawfully here. Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas sponsored nationwide E-Verify to hold businesses accountable, for the 8.5 Million already working amongst us. Rep.Lamar Smith’s mandated E-Verify bill H.R. 2885, known as the“Legal Workforce Act” Is now ready for Congress. The American people deserve a President that upholds our laws, instead of bypassing Congress with Executive directives. He must be prepared to protect America from its internal enemies, and sustain the 1986 Immigration laws against all entities who are pushing for wide open borders and allowing uncountable amounts of poverty-stricken–ECONOMIC–people to enter this sovereign nation.
E-Verify will spell-out to illegal aliens from every area of our world; the welcome doormat has been withdrawn as we cannot afford them anymore. Highly skillful immigrants should be expedited through the system, but others who are predisposed to become public taxpayer charges must be turned away. The millions of non-lawful immigrants will recognize they cannot enter America with impunity and that if they cannot get hired, then why smuggle their families and children here who predominantly are uninsured and have no means of financial support. These individuals use our own laws against us to wreak havoc with our limited emergency health care service or clog our schools with their children, that don’t speak English in the majority of cases. In the last few decades they have been fortunate to find criminal companies to employ them, but when E-verify is enacted finding a job won’t be so easy.

On Fox news they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?
35 States file lawsuit against the Federal Government
Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform… in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
