Amusing Bunni is a dear friend, a blogger, and the maker of the most adorable kitty videos ever. She used do a lot of Conservativeblogging (from Chicago!) but a while back the death threats she received (from sickos who didn’t even TRY to hide their IP addresses!) got to be too much so she backed off from the politics and just did adorable videos mostly, while coming to other Conservative blogs and making them better for her having stopped by there in our comments sections. I knew something was going on with her when I saw this:
Sometimes, you get news in life that is so awful, so horrible, and the worst is when you can do NOTHING about it to change it….. continue reading at MareZilla.com
Please pray for my friend MareZilla, as all of you who know her know, she has been ill for sometime, but is worse. The Lonely Conservative has posted the following update on her site. Please go there and read the story. I am including the video below. Please pass this information on and include her in your prayer lists. God bless you!
It’s early here and insomnia is no fun! My husband is still fast asleep and my dog has doggie dreams of sitting around a table with all the other dogs in the neighborhood, smoking cigars and playing poker.
It’s too early to catch “Morning Joe.”the one liberal television show that I watch with any regularity. I do watch him to hear the liberal party line and I also read a few liberal columnists to get the liberal perspective.
But the same question always haunts me. Why do liberal shows have ONLY liberal guests to address issues of the day, while conservative shows feature both conservative and liberal analysts to address those very same issues? It seems that liberal shows spend so much time trashing conservative positions, candidates, legislative bills or a plethora of conservative issues.
Oh, wait a minute, I forgot that Conservatives have not offered a darn thing (sic), not one bill or piece of legislation; they’re the party of ’no.’ Somehow I’m reminded of the Ryan plan to balance the budget and the nearly 900 days to pass a budget the liberals have had and we only see Continuing Resolutions and countless other resolutions.
I see this unbalanced liberal reporting on whatever liberal show I may watch. Then I go to my conservative ‘haunts’ to comparison shop. On Brett Baier’s ’roundtable’ are conservatives and liberal voices; including the excellent Juan Williams as one of the more rational liberal voices.
So, I watch liberal television in the early hours, then the television gets turned off and I write and write. Then I watch Dylan Ratigan for more liberal perspective. He offers solutions to the massive problems we face that are devoid of liberal spin. Bipartisan solutions.
Mind you, that is NOT to say that I’m liberal. Au contraire, I’m conservative and quite proud of it! However, I feel that my world view is best shaped when I know both liberal and conservative perspectives and then I can make up my own mind.
Then I stroll on over to my conservative channels to finish out the evening. I like BrettBaier’s roundtable with the analysis of Charles Krauthammer, Juan Williams and Brit Hume; hardly analytical lightweights. Now it’s time to watch a movie!

The reason Politicians try so hard to get re-elected is that they would ‘hate’ to have to make a living under the laws they’ve passed. Three friends from the local congregation were asked, ‘When you’re in your casket, and friends and congregation members are mourning over you, what would you like them to say?’ Artie said: ‘ I would like them to say I was a wonderful husband, a fine spiritual leader, and a great family man.’
Eugene commented: ‘I would like them to say I was a wonderful teacher and servant of God who made a huge difference in people’s lives.’ Al said: ‘I’d like them to say, ‘Look, he’s moving!’
Smith climbs to the top of Mt.Sinai to get close enough to talk to God. Looking up, he asks the Lord… ‘God, what does a million years mean to you?’ The Lord replies, ‘A minute.’ Smith asks, ‘And what does a million dollars mean to you?’ The Lord replies, ‘A penny.’ ‘Smith asks, ‘Can I have a penny?’ ‘The Lord replies, ‘In a minute.’
John was on his deathbed and gasped pitifully. ‘Give me one last request, dear,’he said. ‘Of course, John,’ his wife said softly. ‘Six months after I die,’ he said, ‘I want you to marry Bob.’ ‘But I thought you hated Bob,’ she said. With his last breath John said, ‘I do!’
A man goes to see the Rabbi. ‘Rabbi, something terrible is happening and Ihave to talk to you about it.’ The Rabbi asked, ‘What’s wrong?’ The man replied, ‘My wife is poisoning me.’ The Rabbi, very surprised by this, asks, ‘How can that be?’ The man then pleads, ‘I’m telling you, I’m certain she’s poisoning me,what should I do?’ The Rabbi then offers, ‘Tell you what. Let me talk to her, I’ll see what I can find out and I’ll let you know.’ A week later the Rabbi calls the man and says, “I spoke toher on the phone for three hours. You want my advice?’ The man said yes and the Rabbi replied, ‘Take the poison’ All eyes were on the radiant bride as her father escorted her down the aisle. They reached the altar and the waiting groom; the bride kissed her father and placed something in his hand. The guests in the front pews responded with ripples of laughter. Even the priest smiled broadly. As her father gave her away in marriage, the bride gave him back his credit card.
Because they had no reservations at a busy restaurant, my elderly neighbor and his wife were told there would be a 45-minute wait for a table. ‘Young man, we’re both 90 years old, ‘ the husband said …’We may not have 45 minutes.’ They were seated immediately.
I was in the six-item express lane at the store quietly fuming. Completely ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing a cart piled high with groceries. Imagine my delight when the cashier beckoned the woman to come forward looked into the cart and asked sweetly, ‘So which six items would you like to buy?’ Wouldn’t it be great if that happened more often?
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
I often hear in the media today that America has never been an truly Christian nation, and that those who presume so are deceived. Well … the evidence indicates to the contrary. OUR AMERICAN ROOTS: Many have recently argued that our beginnings were not essentially Christian. I suppose that depends on your definition of Christian, but the central focus, and the source of strength, wisdom, and consolation in the early American settlements was the … Read More

I am always amazed at atheist who don’t believe there is a God and yet spend their time criticizing people who do. If you don’t believe in God why should you care if anyone else does. Is it a case of if you don’t believe like me your wrong? The more they attack Godly People the more they prove there is a God. How ironic is that? One of the things that makes me like Michele Bachmann is that she has said that if elected one of the first things she is going to do is go through all of Obama’s executive orders and throw out most of them. After all, Obama has been giving executive orders that not only are not popular, that put the whole nation under some loose kind of rendition (yeah, you nearly forgot about that one didn’t you), executive orders creating more czars than a Bo … Read More
"Without justice being freely, fully, and impartially administered, neither our persons, nor our rights, nor our property, can be protected. And if these, or either of them, are regulated by no certain laws, and are subject to no certain principles, and are held by no certain tenure, and are redressed, when violated, by no certain remedies, society fails of all its value; and men may as well return to a state of savage and barbarous independence. … Read More

Last month’s budget talks resulted in a poor, temporary compromise which, substantially, did nothing to cut government spending or to improve the economic lives of the American people. I think it is fair to say that most Americans were unhappy with the results. It should not be surprising; therefore, that our socialist political class and their media outlets immediately began the political blame game which Washington is so famous for. One victim … Read More
Help Veterans HealFrom Wartime Wounds Even decades after war, veterans can suffer the extreme mental and physical consequences. I hear often from civilians, what a "shame" it is that some of these young men and women are sent back over for multiple tours in Iraq or Afghanistan, and while I certainly understand their rational, I also understand that a vast majority of these soldiers CHOOSE to go back, not for any exceptional zeal or bravery, but simply to be "of service," … Read More
Clearly, many Americans do not share the pride of the majority of those wearing a military uniform. These men and women were not drafted or tricked into joining. They volunteered! They certainly have opinions on some to … Read More

Women Under Islamic Sharia Law For decades, liberal women, feminists, have fought to re-build the FEMALE image as strong, independent, and complete in and of herself. There are a handful of physical tasks better suited to the male physique, but women are amazing being, certainly not a "lesser" being as some religious leaders believe. "Sharia, or Islamic Law, has been seriously proposed as the answer to the world’s problems. Even in Great Britain, … Read More

It is more and more clear to me (is it to you, too?) that WE-THE-PEOPLE have succeeded in making quite a mess of the wondrous gift given us in this great nation.
