Amusing Bunni is a dear friend, a blogger, and the maker of the most adorable kitty videos ever. She used do a lot of Conservative blogging (from Chicago!) but a while back the death threats she received (from sickos who didn’t even TRY to hide their IP addresses!) got to be too much so she backed off from the politics and just did adorable videos mostly, while coming to other Conservative blogs and making them better for her having stopped by there in our comments sections. It’s early here and insomnia is no fun! My husband is still fast asleep and my dog has doggie dreams of sitting around a table with all the other dogs in the neighborhood, smoking cigars and playing poker.
It’s too early to catch “Morning Joe.”the one liberal television show that I watch with any regularity. I do watch him to hear the liberal party line and I also read a few liberal columnists to get the liberal perspective.
But the same question always haunts me. Why do liberal shows have ONLY liberal guests to address issues of the day, while conservative shows feature both conservative and liberal analysts to address those very same issues? It seems that liberal shows spend so much time trashing conservative positions, candidates, legislative bills or a plethora of conservative issues.
Oh, wait a minute, I forgot that Conservatives have not offered a darn thing (sic), not one bill or piece of legislation; they’re the party of ‘no.’ Somehow I’m reminded of the Ryan plan to balance the budget and the nearly 900 days to pass a budget the liberals have had and we only see Continuing Resolutions and countless other resolutions.
I see this unbalanced liberal reporting on whatever liberal show I may watch. Then I go to my conservative ‘haunts’ to comparison shop. On Brett Baier’s ’roundtable’ are conservatives and liberal voices; including the excellent Juan Williams as one of the more rational liberal voices.
So, I watch liberal television in the early hours, then the television gets turned off and I write and write. Then I watch Dylan Ratigan for more liberal perspective. He offers solutions to the massive problems we face that are devoid of liberal spin. Bipartisan solutions.
Mind you, that is NOT to say that I’m liberal. Au contraire, I’m conservative and quite proud of it! However, I feel that my world view is best shaped when I know both liberal and conservative perspectives and then I can make up my own mind.
Then I stroll on over to my conservative channels to finish out the evening. I like BrettBaier’s roundtable with the analysis of Charles Krauthammer, Juan Williams and Brit Hume; hardly analytical lightweights. Now it’s time to watch a movie!

On OCTOBER 11, 1798, President John Adams wrote to the 1st Brigade of the 3rd Division of the Militia of Massachusetts: “We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net.” Adams continued: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” British Statesman Edmund Burke told the National Assembly, 1791: “What is liberty without virtue? It is the greatest of all possible evils…madness without restraint. Men are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put moral chains upon their own appetites.” Edmund Burke continued: “Society cannot exist, unless a controlling power upon will and appetite be placed somewhere; and the less of it there is within, the more there must be without.” U.S. Speaker of the House Robert Winthrop stated on May 28, 1849: “Men, in a word, must be controlled either by a power within them, or a power without them; either by the word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible or by the bayonet.”
Think back to 2008. It was hope and regulation President Obama ran on. It was bipartisanship and an end to war. Yet somehow we are three years removed from such speeches and our economy is worse off, are troops still aren’t home and the leadership in the White House can only make fun of those trying to come up with solutions to improve our country’s morale.
A reminder to President Obama and his administration – you ran for this position. You wanted to become President of the United States of America. After three years in office, how and why are there still excuses? This was the job you wanted! If you care about the country, do your job better or let someone fill the position who will.
It is now the Obama Administration, not conservatives, who are the beltway game players and rough-neck politicians. Those who dare to oppose them are targeted with mudslinging and rhetoric. Herman Cain leads a group of conservatives who are renewed, modern, and ready to lead now!
Conservatives are straight-forward, tough – we will state facts and pitch our plans, and if the plans need work, we will continue to craft them until they are suitable for the American people. Conservatives are problem solvers – we acknowledge the hardships currently plaguing our country and spend every moment on this campaign working towards solutions based strategies to solve problems. Conservatives are careful and detailed – we are putting together specific, efficient, effective plans that can immediately apply to our limping economy. Conservatives are determined – we will not be deterred by the administrations attempts to mock our ideas, we will continue to strive to develop policies that will help our country out of some of its toughest days; we will not stay quiet when the bully asks us to.
It is our life’s work to gather information and form an opinion based on that information. And you have taken the initiative, by signing up to receive emails, to hear our goals of Common Sense Solutions.

Wake up America! Especially all you tea party patriots! Congress is trying to scam us again. Tell them to stop or they will be the next ones to go. We didn’t put them in power for them to pull the rug over our eyes. We worked hard to get them there so they could fix the problem, not make it worse. Call your Congressperson and tell them no more, no way and no how! Stop the insanity!!!!!
