Anne was a special person in my life. I first met her when I asked her to teach clay modeling to our group of campers at a summer Bible camp. She told me about how she loved her work with clay and how she had just recently purchased a kiln to bake her clay creations. When I asked her how she got started in her work of clay modeling she told me her story.
Her son, who was born mentally challenged due to brain damage at birth, had passed away at the age of 15, several months before I met her. She told me how working with the clay had helped her to get through those difficult days of caring for him during those years. Her life had been broken through this difficulty but God had made something beautiful out of her brokenness. While working with the clay God had been at work molding her life and now I was seeing the beauty created by God the master potter. Read the rest at: Broken but Made Beautiful.
I think that fractals some of the most interesting structures that exist. And they exist in the distant parts of the heavens, and down to the smallest structures that exists. I do not see how anyone can look at fractals and deny God. To think that such organization can come from the chaos of accidental creation defies belief. The very fact that such perfect structure is the base for such amazing things as the universe itself and flowers, plants of all kinds, seashells and sea creatures of all kinds, and so many other things shows that it is an established pattern and a pattern by it’s very nature implies a creator. God bless and enjoy!!!!

1 Corinthians 13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become as a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and thouggh I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
And behold a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, say, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
He said to him, “What is written in the law? what is your reading of it?”
So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’”
And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.”
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become as sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I hall all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

I am also including a prayer request with this post. We will be attending the funeral of the fourth family member in less than a year tomorrow. Thank you friends and God bless you all.
Born a slave, he taught himself to read, and attended school after working all day. At age 25 he founded Tuskegee Institute and recruited George Washington Carver. By his death, on NOVEMBER 14, 1915, Tuskegee had over 1,500 students. His name was Booker T. Washington, and he was the first African American to have his image on both a U.S. postage stamp and coin, and was elected to the Hall of Fame. In his book, Up From Slavery, 1901, Booker T. Washington wrote: “While a great deal of stress is laid upon the industrial side of the work at Tuskegee, we do not neglect or overlook in any degree the religious and spiritual side. The school is strictly undenominational, but it is thoroughly Christian, and the spiritual training of the students is not neglected. Our preaching service, prayer-meetings, Sunday-school, Christian Endeavor Society, Young Men’s Christian Association, and various missionary organizations, testify to this.” Booker T. Washington continued: “While the institution is in no sense denominational, we have a department known as the Phelps Hall Bible Training School, in which a number of students are prepared for the ministry and other forms of Christian work.”
Amazingly STUPID questions pushed and shoved by MSNBC’s Martin Bashsir at Apostle Claver, and others. The sketchiness of the whole topic and the way the information has surfaced is so … AGGRAVATING! What ever happened to FACTS? Remember them? When I was in school, journalists were reminded repeatedly to FIRST, get the facts, THEN, build your story around those facts! Today’s media is paid by the Left to use any means possible to taint the Right. Period! Facts are no longer necessary, as demonstrated by this case, and thee Solyndra issue, and Fast & Furious … Where has the media been in those issues? But I digress …Read the rest at

Stories Matthew13 Stories transport us into another world. They hold our attention. They become remarkable vehicles for the communication of truth and meaningful lessons that cannot be easily forgotten, If a picture is better than a thousand words, a story is better than million! Some of the best stories are those spun from everyday life or from our past. Family histories are held together and handed down from generation to generation in stories. … Read More

"Let conscience be your guide". -Jimmny Cricket Crickets sing on summer nights because it's their nature to do so. They do'nt think about whistling or trumpeting or sleeping or changing the world. They've figured out thier role on earth, and they do it. We are a bit more complex than crickets, and most of the time that's lucky. In most of our affairs it's our c … Read More
There is a song that says joy is like the rain. It comes across our windowpane and then goes away again. When joy comes knocking at our window we can reach out and let it in. Joy comes to us in many ways- through deep laughter, through games played together in a spirit of fun and sharing. Singing together, skating, and being around campfire are all ways we shar … Read More
"Agood laugh heals a lot of hurts." Madeleine L'Engle The ability to laugh at ourselves has always been important. In old days, fools and jesters held an important place in the royal courts. Having only one not so good eye means my reading and writing are much slower than when I had two reasonably good eyes. Being retired, I have a lot of time to help make up for my lack of speed. Every day I read a lot of news and numerous blogs. Whenever I come across something I feel I want or need to write about, I save the article on my favorites list and then remove them as i write about them. Unfortunately, that list keeps growing much faster … Read More
