Specific reason other than being lefty rags?
BTW you can go into your WP email alert setting and reset for a single email from my site to make your email more manageable.
Take care.
The reason is that these sites are in the process of suing bloggers who link to them or excerpt even a paragraph. I don’t like them well enough to take that risk, especially since the information is available in so many other places.
LOL, Talon, I have already taken care of that and hope that others have done the same for my own posts.
God bless you my friend!
do you have more info on this?
I am sorry, Talon, but I don’t. I thought I have saved the information and where I got it from, but I can not find it. I think that it was from a post someone did in Grumpy Opinions. I will be honest and say that I didn’t do any research, I simply put the page up for myself and my co authors so that we would not link to them, just in case. I probably should have made the page private, but with it in front of me when I post, it is easier for me to remember.
I’m glad you didn’t make it private! I’ll look into it
Let me know what if anything you find out if you don’t mind Talon, and I will see if I can add more information to the page!
It is strange that a person would not like to be linked to, because that could generate more readers. A, other matter is quoting texts from them. If they do not want that to happen naturally they should not be quoted.
Yes, it is strange, but it seems that these sites do not want to. God bless!
Another point: What with Obama & the Progressives trying to pass so-called ‘piracy’ laws that could shut down websites without legal proof or recourse, we must be very careful. Reference & document everything. These people will stop at nothing to shut down the Christian conservative voice on the Internet! Also, keep a sharp eye on these bits of legislation. They have no qualms about passing them on Holidays when no one is looking. Sadly, the Republicans are right on board with these bits of legislation- especially legislation that can be used against ‘terrorism’!
Amen to that my friend, I think that we are faced with those on both sides who would just as soon throw away our country as they would save it. They just want to have the power and control on their side. We are stuck without a side and really without representation. Like never before, we are going to have to be alert and to be aware. God bless Susan!
Sadly, qouting the words of our founders is now the definition of “potential” terroist. I only have the words that pass my teeth yet I am now apparently considered a threat by my government who is “Armed to the teeth,” to watch my every move, hear every word, see every text, and eventually more. t’s a wonder they haven’t yet inserted a sensor in my sewer line to make sure I’m taking the recommended vitamins.
Can anyone say “Gestapo?”
LOL my friend, I guess I will consider my words but say what I think when it is needed. What is life here but a way station to the next point? It is saddening, maddening and frustrating, but it is just another of life’s test. A refiners fire to hone us into perfection. Do you think I have managed to look at the bright side? God bless you Talon!
Well said loopyloo. At the end of the day we are strangers in this land. We care enough about what produces a healthy life and liberty to stand for righteousness despite a growing roar of the godless mob.
Thank you my friend!
No one wants to shut down the conservative Christian voice on the internet — you are not being persecuted. There are just people who want to keep it out of government policymaking & educational curricula, people such as myself. I’m all for you having your voice otherwise — & 3 times in my life have taken an oath to protect the Constitution so that you can have that voice.
? Where did that come from my friend? I simply do not want to link to sites that do not want to be linked to! I prefer to respect peoples wishes! As to why they do not wish to be linked to, that probably has more to do with money than anything else. I thank you for the protection and that you have served and may God bless you for all you have done. As for Gods will, it will be done regardless of your or my desire. As to what others want, there are many that disagree with you. God bless and His will be done!
I was just responding to the comment about attempts to silence certain voices on the internet. I’m all for ALL of us bloggingbloggingblogging! We find our own, don’t we:)? I appreciate you following.
LOL, I understand! You have a nice site my friend!
MindMindful, I hate to tell you that ‘separation of church and state’ is not a constitutional idea. In fact, the constitution guarantees each & every citizen (including government workers & policy workers) to have complete & total freedom of speech & religion. It specifically prohibits ANY limitation on these things. The First Amendment only forbids the U.S. government from FORCING a religion upon its citizens. The mere expression of Christian beliefs in school, government and other public forums is indeed being suppressed. There are so many instances of teachers, students & government workers being told that they may not speak their own PERSONAL beliefs. The so-called ‘fairness doctrine’ is aimed unfairly at conservative media while completely ignoring the liberal media. FOX MUST have uber-liberal programming, but MSNBC must not have an uber-conservative religious programming. You are NAIVE in your beliefs. Read the news and keep up. And if you wish to insure our Constitutional rights, then you should be fighting to remove unconstitutional check points within U.S. borders, you should be fighting to keep our second amendment rights, you should be fighting for our FREEDOM of SPEECH and RELIGION. Not a pared down version of these things as translated by current liberal policy makers. FULL constitutional rights. I would like to think you are doing those things, but based on your statement, I have grave doubts. You can’t even seem to understand the first amendment as a statement of what we may say, not what we may NOT say.
loopy, you can link to my site http://sabbathsermons.com as much as you like. You can repost our sermons with a link back, I don’t mind the only risk is that if i update my sermons, yours won’t be so you can do an exerpt. I find typo’s you see. Quoting and referring to an other site is always better than taking over an article by reposting it. A two way generation can be brought in by directing to an other website article. It is a matter of love for the other to get them know by others as well. We should give others always the opportunity to get in contact with more than one impression. So we should even not be afraid to link to somebody else even when we do not agree with that person or group on all or any point. When we tackle the same subject or argue about a certain idea we best refer to that article so people can go and have a look on the site itself and can figure it out themselves. On the other-hand it also gives an idea of the background of both writers and of their research.
I agree and think that it is good to have someone think that you are worth the added attention. I also believe that it helps both parties. Sometimes it is needed to validate your own points or information. I think that you are right on every point. If I need to reference these sites, I will do so, but if they do not want linked, I will leave it up to the reader to decide if they wish to check out the information from them. God bless you and thank you for your excellent points.
