“Protection of the Innocent by Isaac Penington”

Unless our foundation is in God, no matter what we do it becomes perverted and that is how our current justice system is I am afraid.
The bigger the crime and the impact on society and the less the punishment while the smaller crime is held up before the people as the worst of the worst. Thank you for the link my friend, great example! God bless you!

I wasn’t able to view the video because the audio on my computer doesn’t work.
I thought you might like to read some of Isaac Penington’s writings. Penington was a deeply spiritual Christian and a great writer. If Penington had not been a Quaker and a Puritan like John Milton, I believe Penington would have been just as famous as John Milton. The Quakers in 17th Century England were greatly persecuted by Puritans, Presbyterians and Anglicans.

I am glad for the link, it is a great read and I am not that familiar with Penington. It seems as if the best of people truly comes with persecution, along with the worst. God’s has His own way of winnowing.

I love this quote from Isaac Penington:
“The wisdom of this world is precious in the eye of the world; and the wisdom of God in His poor, weak, despised earthen vessels is still foolishness with them; but the Lord so orders it, that He still justifies his despised wisdom in his despised vessels, and makes the wisdom of the world appear foolish to all the single and uprighthearted, who thirst after and wait for the revelation of His truth.”
