A Warning from Nahum

Source: google.com via Jane on Pinterest

For the past several months I have felt that God is sending the United States a message. Either turn back to him or face the same destruction that Ninevah faced. When Jonah warned them, they turned to God and begged for redemption. But the redeeming did not last very long. Perry Stone pointed out the similarities in the last few videos that I have posted by him.

However, I still feel that God is wanting us to be prepared. Showing us what will happen so that those who are listening and believe in Him, will know what to do. Please do not take this warning lightly. When God rains destruction down, even the believers can be in the path of the storms. But as long as we are right with Him, we have no cause for worry. God bless you and be aware.

Nahum 1

Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

1 This is a prophecy about Ninveh, the book of the vision of Nachum the Elkoshi:

Adonai is a jealous and vengeful God.
Adonai avenges; he knows how to be angry.
Adonai takes vengeance on his foes
and stores up wrath for his enemies.
Adonai is slow to anger, but great in power;
and he does not leave the guilty unpunished.
Adonai’s path is in the whirlwind and storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
He rebukes the sea and leaves it dry,
he dries up all the rivers.
Bashan and the Karmel languish;
the flower of the L’vanon withers.
The mountains quake before him,
and the hills dissolve;
the earth collapses in his presence,
the world and everyone living in it.
Who can withstand his fury?
Who can endure his fierce anger?
His wrath is poured out like fire,
the rocks broken to pieces before him.

Adonai is good,
a stronghold in time of trouble;
he takes care of those
who take refuge in him.
But with an overwhelming flood
he will make an end of [Ninveh’s] place,
and darkness will pursue his enemies.

What are you planning against Adonai?
He is making an end [of it];
trouble will not arise a second time.
10 For like men drunk with liquor,
they will be burned up like tangled thorns,
like straw completely dry.
11 Out of you, [Ninveh,] he came,
one who plots evil against Adonai,
who counsels wickedness.

12 Here is what Adonai says:
“Though they be many and strong,
they will be cut down, they will pass;
and though I have made you suffer,
I will make you suffer no more.
13 Now I will break his yoke from your necks
and snap the chains that bind you.

14 Adonai gave this order concerning you:
you will have no descendants to bear your name;
from the house of your god I will cut off
carved image and cast metal image;
I will prepare your grave,
because you are worthless.”

As we approach the Winter Solstice on December 21 at 6:12 am (the earliest date and time for this astronomical event since 1896), our days grow shorter while the nights grow longer. Amateur astronomers like the early sunsets and the longer nighttime skies, but the cold temperatures can shorten one’s observing session quite effectively. However, unless we get slammed with frequent and fast moving weather fronts during meteorological winter (December thru February), the skies can be very clear and transparent. For those of you who own telescopes of any size should take that opportunity to focus your instruments on the planet Jupiter. On December 1, this Jovian world will be at its closest distance to the Earth. Though still just over 378,000,000 miles away, Jupiter and his four Galilean moons reveal a lot of detail…

If I had the power to do it, how would I seek to refresh in your souls a sense of the fact that you are “bought with a price.”

There in the midnight hour, amidst the olives of Gethsemane, kneels Immanuel the Son of God; he groans, he pleads in prayer, he wrestles; see the beady drops stand on his brow, drops of sweat, but not of such sweat as pours from men when they earn the bread of life, but the sweat of him who is procuring life itself for us. It is blood, it is crimson blood; great gouts of it are falling to the ground.

O soul, your Savior speaks to you from out Gethsemane at this hour, and he says: “Here and thus I bought you with a price.”

Come, stand and view him in the agony of the olive garden…

Solar Power in the Dark – Avner Rothschild – Technion

Prof. Avner Rothschild and his research team in the Technion Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering have made a breakthrough in solar fuels. Using the power of the sun and ultrathin films of iron oxide (commonly known as rust), the researchers have found a novel way to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen. The breakthrough, published this week in Nature Materials, could lead to less expensive, more efficient ways to store solar energy in the form of hydrogen-based fuels. This could be a major step forward in the development of viable replacements for fossil fuels. “At the end of the day, we would like to substitute solar energy for oil,” Rothschild has said.

“Our approach is the first of its kind,” says lead researcher Rothschild. “We have found a way to trap light in ultrathin films of iron oxide…
