Attempting to obey God and follow Jesus Christ our Lord

Prayer Request for Annie

Many of my readers know my friend Annie from Lupus Chronicles and her problems with Lupus and related disorders. She is facing a new challenge and she has asked that we pray for her.

‘The week before last, I had my mammies grammed- negative! Then I came home, showered the gell of me and noticed a lump. Saw the doc that afternoon and she stet me up for a consult w/ a breast surgeon and an ultrasound. Radiologist said US showed either sebaceous cyst or lipoma.

Doc wanted me to see breast surgeon for removal of either; breast surgeon did Ultrasound in her office and I’m scheduled for excision of that has and bx on Monday. That she mentioned lumpectomy, mastectomy, radiation in the same phrase as possibilities spooked me. Up until now, I’ve had a gazillion biopsys– for lupus-related calcifications. But this one scares me. Loopy, can you invoke a little  prayer for ‘healthy cells?” I don’t need this on my plate, my cup runneth over.”

The possibility of cancer is always a scary situation and Annie has had so many problems in the last few years. Please add her to your prayer list. God does answer and He is the Great Physician. He is our Healer as well as our redeemer. He has promised that where two or more are gathered together in prayer that He will answer.

Dear Lord, you have promised that if we ask you will answer! Annie needs your help and intervention Lord. Please Lord give her a positive outcome if it be thy will Lord. She has suffered so much Lord, and I know that you will not give us more than we can bear Lord, but Annie is reaching her limit Lord. There has been so much that she has and is suffering Lord. Please if it be thy will Lord, take this burden from her and give her a good report this time. In Jesus name we ask this Lord, thank you and amen.

  1. Hey Loopy. Some encouragement here for your friend. My mom found out she had breast cancer, and so she had a lumpectomy and was blessed enough that it had not spread to her lymphatic system. She has been cancer free now for over 6 years. Also, she now takes high dosages of D3, and she rarely gets sick. D3 is a major cancer preventatitve. I take 5,000 IU’s per day. I will have to ask my mom what she takes, but I think it is 6-7,000 I.U.’s a day. Her cancer doctor knows and reccommends. This amount is perfectly safe, although there are some websites who don’t know what they are talking about who say the typical skeptical statements. But trust me when I say it is perfectly safe (http://www.mercola.com) Thanks for sharing! I will definitely keep her in my prayers! God bless you, and your friend.

    • Dear, Dear fly. Some times, I feel so badly that I mention my trials and need for prayers of others who have ‘been there, done that.’ I thank you so much for being able to set aside what must be ‘old hat’ to respond to the plight of a newbie! Annie

      • Annie, you shouldn’t feel bad about asking for support. This is never a subject that becomes ‘old hat’. My Mom also had BC and recently we had a scare with our oldest daughter which turned out to be ok. I have several personal friends also who have also gone through this. I always want to help where I can. Faith was my rock along with my husband and our girls and their families. I also had support from the congregation I attend worship with. You can never have too many prayer warriors and I will be one of yours! My faith is grounded in the promises of God’s Word. One of my favorites is “All things work to the good of those who love the Lord.” ALL things, that is an amazing promise! Love you!

  7. Hi,
I will be praying for Annie’s healing. It is really true that Jesus was beaten and bruised and by the stripes which were on his body, we are healed. And I will be praying this verse of scripture that is stated in Isaiah 53 for Annie.
    Shalom,
    Patricia

Loopy Loo! Will you give Annie my love? Tell her to fight for her health. Tell her to unleash every bit of her faith in God and the power of healing that God gave each one of us. Help her to understand that even if her test came back positive, she can still be victorious. Remind her of Job, who suffered tremendously, yet he was victorious at the end. Encourage her to stay calm and positive, and ask her friends to be positive around her too. Pitty and negativity are not welcome.

Father in heaven, I pray for your healing touch on Annie. Make every part of her body function the way you designed it to. Wherever there is anything out of balance, set it in perfect working order. Heal her of any disease, illness, injury, infirmity or weakness. Strengthen her body to endure her daily activities, and when she sleeps may she wake up fully rested, rejuvenated and refreshed.

    • Amen and will pass it on Noel. Thank you my friend and God bless you!

  11. Are there words that describe the feelings I have for such support, such love across so many miles, from strangers. I just watched the YouTube video and had chills. I remain resolved to meet this challenge and give it my best try

I have to remember that things may not SEEM to work in my favor, but if this is divine order, who am I to question it? Thank you, Annie

  12. For Annie [& all those in need of His Healing & Miracles]…
“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth”… “JESUS HEALS!”

Thank you LoopyLoo for directing our heads up. And Annie… GOD BLESS YOU!
    Love in Jesus!
    julie

Acts 3:6… “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he [Peter] took him [lame man from birth] by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”
“16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

I pray for that~ Jesus gives a “perfect soundness in the presence of… all.” Amen

    • Jam, many thanks, many many thanks. My mood has changed in the past few hours, it’s noticable (and i’m sure it’s not the shower I just took!). Could the prayers be what is lightening my heart and soul? Whatever, the gifts that you’re giving this gal are so immense and my heart runs over. (My plate already runneth over, so I can’t say that!). Our dear friends Ken and Rachel are coming for dinner and if anyone can offer a prayer…They were one of the unscathed Waldo Canyon survivors, despite their home being in the thick of it and their neighbors burning, Ken and Rachel’s home still stands as stalwart as their faith.

That’s the point to my story, that I’m coming around to the THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING and If this IS MEANT TO BE, I know the Lord will give me the strength to find and to fight. I’m just a bit tired of HIS using me as a vessel! I say this today; I know not what tune I’ll be singing in a few days when the rubber really hits the road. It may be something, it may be nothing and I’ll be no more than a drama queen!

Thank you all for your love and support-I feel better. NOT GOOD, but better.

      • :-) Better is a step in the right direction Annie!
